Ford Motor’s announcement that it’s building a new plant in Mexico has caused a firestorm of controversy in the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign.

CCTV’s Martin Markovits has this report.

U.S Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump attacked the deal for taking away jobs from U.S. workers and called for more trade barriers. This includes breaking, or renegotiating NAFTA to create what he says is a fairer deal for American workers.

As far as U.S. automakers go, there is little motivation to renegotiate a deal that has made building cars so cheap.
