China’s first court case on right to register same-sex marriage

A gay couple in Hunan Province, China wanted to register their marriage but the local registry office refused.

The couple says there’s no explicit wording that outlaws same-sex marriage so they sued. CCTV’s Xia Ruixue reports.


Legislation in the United States impacting LGBT community

“Discrimination is not a Louisiana value.” Those words are from the governor of the U.S. state after he signed an order banning LGBT discrimination.

But, it’s a different story in other places in the country where the LGBT community says their rights are being threatened.
