Haiti’s Interim President Jocelerme Privert said that he expects an election run-off date to be announced mid-May by the Election Commission, despite two missed deadlines.

Privert spoke with CCTV America’s Nathan King in New York on Thursday and said that Haiti’s current woes are due to political instability. The Interim President urged factions to come together.

He also said that earthquake funding was only focused on short term solutions such as food and water and not rebuilding.
