New research suggests the cost of the U.K. leaving the European Union could cost individual British households a lot.

The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development says that a Brexit could cost each U.K. household about $3,000 per year. The UK government thinks it could cost up to $6000.

CCTV America’s Owen Fairclough spoke to Mike Bastin about if the British government was playing politics with the numbers. He is a Senior Lecturer at Southampton University and Visiting Professor at the University of International Business and Economics.
