Football fans in France prepare for Euro 20161

Two legendary footballers, Brazil’s Pele and Argentina’s Maradona met together for the first time at the beginning of the Euro 2016. Pele talks about who he expects to win, though it’s hard to tell.

“Before the tournament, it is difficult to say, of course normally, the winners of the cup is the team with more experience like England, Italy and Spain,” Pele said before the tournament began.

“I feel the strength of humanity is always to look forward and keep on living like we are used to. The togetherness, the unity and the compassion. The city and the country will definitely overcome other sentiments,” Clarence Seedore, the English four-time champion league winner said.

At the same time, the security concerns is high lightened. Nearby at a park a sign of the heavy police presence fans can expect. Each person is patted down every bag is checked.

“I think we feel more safety. And of course we are afraid about some things happening. But they check everything like three times,” a fan said.

Authorities also said the decision that banning bars and restaurants from setting up outdoor TV screens is also aimed at improving security.

The build up to this tournament may have been dominated by talk of security concerns, but it is now hoped that football will become the main topic of discussion.
