Federal investigators dig more on Pulse nightclub shooter2

Federal investigators are casting a wide net, digging into the background of gunman, Omar Mateen, and focusing in large part on his wife Noor.

She allegedly tried to talk Mateen out of the attack, but she did not alert authorities, and there are reports she purchased ammunition for her husband.

Investigators are tight-lipped about the possibility of indicting her.

CCTV America’s Sean Callebs reports.

Authorities have recovered Mateen’s phone – it was damaged in the attack but police are trying to collect as much information as possible. FBI now knows that Mateen made several calls during the three hour siege, including one to a friend, and to a local TV news outlet.

Evidence response teams are still pouring over the crime scene. They are trying to reduce their footprint in the area.

There are hundreds of Orlando first responders now being offered grief counseling.

“These are some of the toughest most courageous men I know…But no one can prepare for what they saw that night,” said John Mina, an Orlando police chief.
