“Americas Now” anchor Elaine Reyes had the chance to interview one of Colombia’s most popular musicians while on a U.S. tour promoting his latest album.

Fonseca is a three-time Latin Grammy winner and a philanthropist. His latest album is called “Conexion.”

In addition to singing and songwriting, Fonseca has taken a stand on social and political concerns. He’s been involved in the reintegration of former guerrilla members into Colombian society and supports the UN campaign “Ending violence against women.”

Fonseca was also recently named an ambassador for “Save The Children.”

Elaine spoke to Fonseca about some of these social, political, and educational issues in his home nation, Colombia.
