Some of the world’s most successful entrepreneurs have been gathering this week in Silicon Valley for the Global Entrepreneurship Summit.

During the three-day event, the business community collaborated with government leaders in hopes of bringing innovation to their respective arenas.

CCTV America’s Mark Niu reports from Silicon Valley.

At Stanford University in California, Google Founder Sergey Brin showed Secretary of State John Kerry a thing or two about self-driving cars.

Then, President Barack Obama served as moderator for a panel of entrepreneurs to find out what they’ve learned from starting a business.

The 700 entrepreneurs selected to attend this week’s summit are from 170 different countries and territories. Many focused on climate for entrepreneurship in China.

Jea Liu, the president of China’s largest ride sharing service company, Didi Chuxing, talks job creation, while this Chinese delegate encourages Chinese startups to think broader.

Startups with social causes also made their pitches.

Jasberry Rice, a newly developed organic rice that gives more profits to Thai farmers took home the top prize of $30,000. The company’s mission perfectly underscores a key summit theme – profit with purpose.
