The Heat

On the heels of the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Chinese President Xi Jinping welcomed Russian President Vladimir Putin to Beijing Saturday.

The two leaders signed more than 30 deals including bilateral investments in energy, agriculture, transportation, aerospace and the military.

Xi Jinping said China and Russia are major economies and emerging markets and called for the integration of the Belt and Road Initiative and the Eurasian Economic Union.
