An orange alert for rain — the second-highest alert level — has been renewed in southern and southwestern China.

Storms are expected to last until Sunday evening in provinces including Anhui, Jiangsu and Yunnan.

Rainfall in some places will reach 28-centimeters (11 inches).

Rainstorms pelted Jingdong County in southwest China’s Yunnan province on Friday and Saturday, leaving a precipitation of 107.3 millimeters (4 inches) from 8 p.m.-11 a.m.

This video captured several shocking moments when muddy floodwaters washed away cars.

No casualties were reported. Residents have been evacuated to safety.

Debris clearing has begun as the rains have weakened.
