FARC peace accord: Colombians hold plebiscite vote on agreementOn Sunday, Colombians will vote on the Peace Agreement between the government and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia's guerrilla group.
The peace deal reached between the Colombian government and the leftist FARC rebel group will be put up for a final vote in a plebiscite.
While the International community saw a celebration on Sept. 26 when the government and rebel group formally signed the peace agreement – the truth is Colombians are polarized leading up to the Oct. 2 vote.
Opposition to the peace agreement has been led by former President Alvaro Uribe Velez. One of the arguments to vote ‘NO’ is that the deal has been too lenient on the FARC rebels.
