It is billed as a festival of innovation, creativity, science and entrepreneurship. Hosting conferences and workshops to share ideas and knowledge, the social media hashtag for Campus Party is ‘feels the future.’

The latest event has been taking place for the very first time in Argentina.

CCTV America’s Joel Richards reports.

Most university students attending Campus Party will not have been born when this robot became famous.

But learning from the mastermind behind R2D2 in one of the keynote speeches, taking part in workshops or learning about successful startup companies are some of the opportunities at this five-day event.

Accommodation has been laid on for thousands of students from universities around Argentina. Many have traveled over 15 hours to be there. This event is essentially a platform upon which local technology, science and start up communities can meet and network.

Campus Party has been running for two decades, every year around the globe there are roughly 10 of these events, there are plans to go to India and Singapore but this is the very first time it has come to Argentina.

Most recently in Argentina but soon in Asia, Campus Party is increasingly providing a platform for innovation and sharing ideas around the world.
