Turner Sparks, the American co-founder of Kung Fu Komedy Club in China, is said to be the country’s first and only full-time standup comedy group.

Turner is taking Kung Fu Komedy Club’s style of East-meets-West humor back to the U.S. with two fellow comedians – Joe Schaefer and Gus Tate.

The three Americans behind Kung Fu Komedy Club have spent a combined total of 32 years in China, from Suzhou to Shanghai, Beijing to Hong Kong, and they’ve exported their unique brand of experience-based cross-culture humor to the comedy capital of the world. Little has been lost in translation.

Their winning formula Comic timing, and a shared appreciation for the humor and hijinks ensue when cultures collide and co-exist.

Kung Fu Komedy Club may be winning an international audience here in Manhattan, but it still holds on to its roots in China, and continues to win laughs back home in Shanghai.
