Turtles have been swimming the Earth’s oceans since dinosaurs roamed the planet, more than 65-million years ago. But modern-day threats to these sea creatures are endangering their survival.

Every year in Nicaragua, thousands of turtles emerge from the ocean to lay their eggs. And just as they do, poachers stand by to take them.
