The Heat

The Heat: Journalists analyze top storiesPresident Donald Trump gives the thumbs-up as he walks from White House in Washington, Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, to the South Lawn to board Marine One for the short trip to Andrews Air Force Base, Md. en route to West Palm Beach, Fla. (AP Photo/Carolyn Kaster)

On most days, “The Heat” goes in-depth on a single story. But once a month, we like to take a step back from our usual format and spend a bit of time gathering fresh insight and analysis from those covering world events.

To help us dive into these issues, we’ve put together a distinguished panel of journalists:

  • Haroon Siddiqui is the Toronto Star’s Editorial Page Editor Emeritus.
  • Ching-Yi Chang is the White House Correspondent and Chief Editor for the Shanghai Media Group’s U.S. News Center.
  • Afshin Molavi is the Editor of The New Silk Road Monitor and a Senior Fellow at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
  • Nathan King is back at CGTN in Washington, D.C. after reporting from China for the past two months.
