Businessman and banana exporter Jovenel Moise was sworn in as Haiti’s new president after taking the oath of office Tuesday in a ceremony in the capital Port-au-Prince.

Moise, who’s never held political office, is hoping to open a new chapter in his country’s history after a long running political crisis.

But, the new president is already facing controversy with an unresolved money laundering investigation.
