Malaysians protested outside the embassy of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, over criticism from the ambassador in the investigation of the death of Kim Jong-Nam.

Several groups linked to the ruling party UMNO, including its youth wing, protested outside the embassy to show their displeasure with the ambassador’s criticisms.

DPRK Ambassador Kang Chol alleged that Malaysia is colluding with the ROK to smear the DPRK, and that police are fabricating evidence and even suspects.

The protesters called for the ambassador to be expelled and the embassy closed.

An unidentified DPRK embassy official rejected police requests to interview the mission’s second secretary over possible links to the killing.

Senior Malaysian officials have also voiced their displeasure at the conspiracy theories and allegations being leveled against them, with the foreign minister saying they were based on “delusions, half-truth and lies.”
