Chinese mobile companies unveil new devices at Mobile World Congress

During the first day at the Mobile World Congress, a convention featuring a number of the largest smartphone makers from around the world, the spotlight fell on a number of other companies launching an array of new devices.

The anticipation The 2017 Mobile World Congress was a big draw for exhibitors.

ZTE says its latest product, the Gigabit, is the world’s first ever 5G phone. Although the network itself is not ready, the phone’s processing speed provides a glimpse of the future.

Huawei’s introducing its new flagship phone, the P-10.

They hope the device, with an improved Leica high-end camera, will outperform their previous model that sold more than 10,000,000 units.

Lenovo is confident its new array of gadgets and devices will improve its market share.

It’s not just the major China players that are catching the eye here at this convention. Among the 2200 exhibitors are a number of smaller Chinese companies that are also making a mark.

Goodix is a mobile interface provider that specializes in fingerprint technology allowing users to open a phone, simply by touching the screen.

This is one of the world’s most competitive industries. But with so many dazzling devices on display, it will take time to discover which ones will be successful.
