All eyes are on the meetings for any hints at how the U.S. Trump administration will formulate its policy in dealing with Pyongyang.

The meeting comes amid reports of another missile launch by the DPRK on Wednesday. This one, however, ended in failure.

Officials said the missile exploded within seconds of the launch and more analysis is being conducted to determine the type of projectile.

Meanwhile, Reuters News Agency citing an unnamed U.S. official, said the Trump administration is considering slapping broader sanctions on the DPRK.

The U.S. and South Korean representatives are meeting for the second time in as many months. But if anything, the message is clear, the allies are in close coordination and remain committed to finding a solution to the DPRK nuclear issue.
