Routine mixed with rememberance across London day after terror attack

Life in London paused following the terror attack. Now, the city is starting to return to its routine.

The London eye was back in operation Thursday. The city is no stranger to terrorism and people seem determined to remain defiant. Many tourists took the opportunity to enjoy the sights along the eerily quiet river road that’s usually filled with traffic. Some said they would not be deterred from their plans.

Flowers were placed along the river in remembrance of slain officer Pc Keith Palmer. His colleagues also paused to honor him during a moment of silence. Tributes were also paid to the victims of the attack in the Parliament where it was business as usual.

Returning workers had time to reflect on events of the day before. Prime Minister Theresa May repeated her call for people to carry on as usual and Londoners seemed determined to do just that, albeit in a city with a greater police presence.
