Game Changer: Dr. Sabrina Asturias creates Guatemalan ER registry to save lives

Americas Now

With El Salvador, Honduras, Belize and Mexico at its borders, Guatemala encompasses one of the most violent regions in the world. Yet, the country has no data to show the burden of that violence.

But one doctor there is making a difference, by creating the first electronic data registry of its kind that will help care for the injured, and also prevent deaths.

Correspondent Harris Whitbeck introduces us to Guatemalan surgeon and Game Changer, Dr. Sabrina Asturias.
