World Bank’s Chief South Asia economist on regional growth

It’s the world’s fastest-growing region economically. But South Asia needs to keep embracing globalization and focus on export, if it’s to follow in the path of its eastern neighbors. That’s the message of the World Bank’s bi-annual report on the region, which includes countries like India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

CGTN’s Paul Barber interviewed Martin Rama, the World Bank’s chief South Asia economist, on how South Asia could be impacted by rising protectionism in the West.
