The tradition of marking the accomplishments of a presidency in its first 100 days dates back to the presidency of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who entered office in the midst of the Great Depression. Due to the circumstances, he and his administration passed a series of bills into law. The first 100 days has since become an unofficial benchmark to measure the beginning of a new presidency.

During the campaign, Donald Trump made a lot of promises before taking office. Ahead of Election Day, he even released a “Contract with the American Voter,” summarizing the promises he would accomplish in his first 100 days.
