Kennedy tapped into the popularity of television to bring his message to the world. Current U.S. President Donald Trump has adopted Twitter as his primary tool to reach millions of Americans and people around the world.

Since entering office on January 20, 2017, President Trump has sent more than 430 tweets from his @RealDonaldTrump account, which he uses to lob criticism at news organizations, political rivals, including his predecessor Barack Obama and share images and videos from meetings and executive order signings.
