The Belt and Road Forum brought leaders from nearly 30 countries and high-level officials from around the world to Beijing to discuss the Belt and Road Initiative – China’s trillion dollar development plan criss-crossing the globe with infrastructure projects and economic cooperation.

To discuss the outlook for the Belt and Road Initiative:

    • Xiaolan Fu, a founding director of the Technology and Management Center for Development at Oxford University
    • Ruslan Bultrikov, minister-counsellor and deputy permanent representative at the Mission of Kazakhstan to the United Nations
    • Andrew Small, a senior transatlantic fellow with the Asia program at the German Marshall Fund
