Families of 9/11 victims attend hearings of accused WTC terrorists

For the last five years American families have been flying to Guantanamo Bay in Cuba to attend the pre-trial hearings of the five defendants accused of carrying out the September 11th attacks on America in 2001.

One such family is the Smiths, James and Patricia, who lost their wife and mother Moira. She was a police officer on duty in New York City on the day of the attacks. Patricia was just two-years-old when her mother died.

CGTN’s Nick Harper spoke to them at Guantanamo’s court and started by asking why it was important for them to make the long journey to attend the hearing.
