Urban Voice Christian Fuchs honors ancestors by “becoming” them in art

If imitation is truly the highest form of flattery, one photographer from Peru is paying a big compliment to his ancestors by using his work to imitate their lives.

He creates portraits of his deceased relatives, both male and female, by dressing up to look like them, and then takes photos, in a process that’s a lot more complicated than it may appear.
