Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently described the 1967 Six-Day War as one of the greatest victories in the history of Israel.

During the conflict, Israel defeated the armies of Egypt, Jordan and Syria and seized land including east Jerusalem, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

Israel would later sign historic peace agreements with Egypt and Jordan, but to this day its conflict with the Palestinians remains unresolved.
