Anti-Muslim attacks on the rise in UK following Manchester bombing

Manchester police have reported a 500 percent increase in anti-Muslim hate crimes following the terrorist attack on the city. Extra police have been deployed in London to reassure the Muslim community.

The attack on worshippers outside a mosque in Finsbury Park has raised fears of far-right and Islamophobic extremism in the U.K.

The residents of Finsbury Park will never be the same, thinking twice before going to the mosque at night. The people want Prime Minister Theresa May to do more to tackle the wider issue of hate crime.

Police have said they are already investing considerable time and money trying to counter far-right extremism and Islamophobia.  Resources are being increasingly stretched by the terrorist threat to the U.K.
