Haiti’s UN Peacekeeping mission draws to an end

For more than a decade, United Nations Peacekeeping troops have been on the ground in Haiti.

Their mission has been to help stabilize the island nation following decades of turmoil resulting from dictatorships, military coups and corruption.

During their time there, UN Peacekeepers have also overseen three presidential elections and assisted in relief efforts for the earthquakes and hurricanes that have pummeled the country. But, their tenure has not been free of scandal.

Now, as their mission concludes, correspondent John Zarrella takes inventory of their accomplishments.
