Retirees flock to Ecuador for a new lease on life

Most working men and women look forward to the moment they will one day retire. But with living expenses rising in many places, they also wonder where their budget will allow them to go.

Latin America has become a popular retirement destination, and Ecuador in particular is seeing a surge in the arrival of retirees. With its low cost of living and high quality of life, expats can spend their sunset years living comfortably in the Andean nation.

Correspondent Dan Collyns visited the once little-known town of Cuenca, where the only thing that has grown faster than the community, is the amount of change taking place within it.
