Cuba temporarily halts expansion of country's private sector

The Cuban government has temporarily halted the expansion of much of Cuba’s private sector, saying that many of the new businesses are breaking the rules and avoiding tax. 

The move points to divisions over the pace of the free market reforms and a broader debate about rising inequality on the island.
