In Lebanon, a group of volunteers set up a “wall of kindness” on a bustling street in Beirut. Those in need, and especially refugees, benefit from the donations. People hang clothes, or leave behind shoes, that they no longer use.
An estimated 70 percent of Lebanon’s refugee population lives in extreme poverty, according to the United Nations.
The group behind the initiative has chosen to remain anonymous.
“Walls of kindness” have spread across multiple countries such as China, India, Pakistan, and Iran.
