Mural on Rio De Janeiro school called largest graffiti art by a woman

The largest graffiti in the world painted by a woman has recently been unveiled in Rio De Janeiro.

In the world of Street Art, which is dominated by men, a 19-year-old female artist, Luna Buschinelli, has created an enormous panel called “Stories” on the side of a public school in Rio’s downtown.

It took Luna one month to create the image that covers 2,500 meters, (3,000 square yards) and has been submitted to the Guinness Book of Records.

Luna has never taken a drawing course, but has created images since her childhood. “The work represents a mother who cannot read, but still manages to tell her children many fantastic stories that build their dreams.”

CGTN’s Caren Moy reports on the artist and what the mural has come to mean to students at the school.
