After two years of recession, Brazilian economy is starting to recover, but the political crisis has no end in sight.

Many high profile politicians are being investigated for corruption, including President Michel Temer, whose approval rating has sunk to just 3 percent.

Brazil is the fifth largest country in the world, a key player in South America and part of BRICS, the group of emerging national economies.

The Heat’s Anand Naidoo spoke with Sergio Amaral, Brazilian Ambassador to the U.S. and began by asking him about his country’s relations with the United States and U.S. President Donald Trump.
