The Heat: Tragedy at Sutherland Springs

The Heat

Texas Shooting

It was a typical Sunday at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas, about 56 kilometers from San Antonio.

Worshipers had filed in for their weekly song and prayer service when a man wearing a tactical vest and carrying an AR-15-style assault rifle entered and opened fire.

When it was over, 26 people were killed – many of them children. Twenty others were wounded in the worst mass shooting inside a house of worship in U.S. history.
