In 1996, Ecuadorian tennis player Pablo Campana represented his country at the Olympic Games, reached the third round of the U.S. Open Tennis Championship and was ranked 165 in the world. In the following year he dropped to become a businessman. He eventually led one of the most profitable companies in his country.

Now, as the new Minister of Foreign Trade of Ecuador, he hopes his competitive spirit and his understanding of the global environment plays on his favor.

Anchor Elaine Reyes had the chance to sit down with Campana for a one-on-one interview in New York to discuss Ecuador’s game in foreign trade.
