M6.9 quake rocks Tibet’s Nyingchi in SW China

A 6.9-magnitude earthquake hit Mainling County, Nyingchi in southwest China’s Tibet Autonomous Region on Saturday morning, China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC) reported.

The quake struck at around 6:34 a.m. BJT (1034GMT on Friday) at a depth of 10 km, according to the CENC.

There have been no immediate reports of casualties.
