An inmate who took poetry classes in prison teaches others

Liliana Cabrera was imprisoned for eight years in Argentina. During that time she studied journalism and produced books of poetry written by inmates with help from the organization, “It Wasn’t Me.”

The group offers creative, education and life skills workshops for women behind bars.

Today, Cabrera runs those same workshops for others in similar circumstances.
