French President Macron holds talks with Israeli PM Netanyahu in Paris

While meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Paris, French President Emmanuel Macron expressed his disapproval of U.S. President Donald Trump’s controversial decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. Macron is one of many European leaders who have joined in opposition to the move, calling it a threat to peace.

Netanyahu’s stop was the first on a foreign trip on which he’s expected to meet with 27 European leaders.
