Three-week-old ‘miracle’ baby born with her heart outside her body has survived after intensive surgeries.

Vanellope Hope Wilkins is believed to be the first baby to survive ectopia cordis in the United Kingdom. It’s a rare condition congenital condition that causes the heart to grow outside the body.

Most babies born with this condition do not survive.
