As China and the Republic of Korea mark the 25th anniversary of diplomatic ties, the president of the ROK is visiting China.
On Thursday, President Moon Jae-in met with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing. Both leaders agreed to work on improving relations between their two countries. And with on-going nuclear concerns on the Korean Peninsula as well as important issues like trade, there was much to discuss, as CGTN’s Wei Lynn Tang explains:
To discuss:
- Afshin Molavi, Senior Fellow at the Foreign Policy Institute at Johns Hopkins, School of Advanced International Studies
- Sun Yun, Senior Associate with the East Asia Program at the Stimson Center
- Myung-Koo Kang, Professor of Political Science, Baruch College
- Song Zhang, Chief correspondent, Washington DC Bureau, Shanghai Wen Hui Daily
