Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is vowing to open a Palestinian embassy in East Jerusalem, in response to the U.S. decision recognizing the city as the capital of Israel.
This comes as Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has reportedly received an invitation to visit Iran, and the UN Security Council on Monday is expected to vote on a resolution to nullify any change to Jerusalem’s status.
