China’s Belt and Road Initiative is one of the most ambitious development projects and is the centerpiece of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s foreign policy.

For tonight’s show, The Heat interviews a guest who traveled to China’s border regions and across Asia to learn first-hand about China’s global rise and its challenges. The book is called “China’s Asian Dream: Empire Building along the New Silk Road.”
