The Heat: Iran nuclear deal

IRAN TEHRAN NUCLEAR PROGRAM

Iran said the United States crossed the line by imposing sanctions on its chief judge and is rejecting any changes to the 2015 nuclear accord.

On Friday, U.S. President Donald Trump waived sanctions against Tehran but said he would not grant another reprieve unless the U.S. Congress and European allies strengthened the agreement.

The U.S. Treasury Department also placed sanctions on 14 people and entities.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani says the U.S. has failed to undermine the deal and hailed it as a victory for Tehran.
