U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is on his first tour of Latin America and taking the opportunity to put pressure on Venezuela.
Tillerson’s tour of Latin America has focused on the political situation in Venezuela, as well as addressing issues such as drug trafficking and trade. The U.S. Secretary of State’s trip is also being viewed as the United States looking to regain influence in a region it has historically considered its backyard.
