Chinese State Councillor Yang Jiechi met U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House Friday.

The two discussed the growing Sino-U.S. relations, as well as their shared common interests and important responsibilities in safeguarding world peace, stability and prosperity.

State Councillor Yang Jiechi also discussed the evolving relationships between President Trump and President Xi Jinping.
