UNSC scheduled to vote on worsening crisis in E. Ghouta

Unrelenting air strikes on the rebel-held stronghold of Eastern Ghouta in Syria have claimed dozens more lives.

The U.N. Security Council hopes to vote Saturday on a ceasefire in Syria, after failing to agree for two straight days.

In the meantime, Turkey’s Foreign Minister has challenged Syria on government-associated attacks near Damascus and in northern Syria.
