Costa Rica is on a mission to ban disposable plastics

Americas Now

Costa Rica has an ambitious goal to help the environment. It wants to become the first nation to eliminate all single-use plastics by the year 2020.

The Central American nation has long been at the forefront of progressive environmental policies. But the safe disposal of solid waste is one crucial area in which it’s lagged behind.
