From a historic church to a modern art center, the Blind Whino in Washington D.C. is attracting art lovers far and wide.

The 19th century building was once a neighborhood Baptist church and now houses the nonprofit Blind Whino Southwest Arts Center featuring work from local and national artists.

Co-founder and DC-native, Ian Callender says even though it’s no longer a house of worship, the center still embodies the community spirit of its forebears.
